I believe that honor codes in schools and universities do make a difference. They set a guideline that is easy for everyone to follow. The also play into the culture of the school. It is much easier for a school to develop a culture of integrity with an honor code as its foundation.
CNU has a great honor code set in place but not everyone seems to follow it. The students and faculty need to make the effort to not only follow the honor code but to encourage others to follow it. The honor code should not just be something mentioned on the first day of classes but it should be reiterated by the faculty throughout each semester. Students should encourage their peers to follow the honor code and uphold academic integrity.
